Beverly Crescent

Wood, plywood, branch, steel, epoxy paste, resin

43 x 49 x 28”

$3100

This piece is inspired by a single branch that I picked up walking my dog in Elysian Park. I created a casing around the branch using bendable plywood, letting the two break points of the branch peek from either end. I've kept the wood putty in the casing in plain sight so the hand of the artist is obvious. The form that balances out the branch and supports it brought me back to one of my favorite colors to work with during this time--a bright and rich cobalt.
